At Vicki Beagle Home, we offer in-person visits every Sunday from 10 AM to 6 PM, but only when we have puppies currently available for adoption. This policy exists for several important reasons. Our setup is designed around the safety and comfort of our mothers and puppies, and allowing large numbers of visitors puts them at risk. A few years ago, we experienced a heartbreaking incident when a virus entered our program and affected an entire litter. It was an emotionally devastating experience that taught us to prioritize strict health and safety precautions. Since then, I’ve committed to protecting our moms and babies by limiting unnecessary foot traffic.
Our breeding program operates from our family home, where our children live, and where our Beagle moms raise their pups. Because of this, we don’t give out our address until certain steps are completed. You may have heard stories about dishonest breeders online—but there are also risks involving fraudulent buyers. Sadly, it happens more often than most people realize.
There have been cases where breeders allowed visitors to come before any agreement or commitment was made, only to return home later to find their puppies stolen. People’s desperation for a new companion has created opportunities for bad actors, and we simply cannot put our family or dogs in harm’s way.
For everyone’s safety, we only provide our home address after the Adoption Contract is signed, the Reservation Deposit is secured, and a pickup appointment is scheduled. The address will also appear in your sales agreement. Since most of our puppies are listed at 8 weeks old and ready to leave right away, families open to shipping usually have the best chances since pickup slots can fill quickly.
Please understand that our goal is to keep both our human family and our Beagle family safe. We are always happy to answer any questions—transparency is important to us.
The AKC has experienced significant delays over the past couple of years due to reduced office hours and high demand. This has caused slower processing times for breeders nationwide. Fortunately, they are finally catching up, but paperwork may still take a bit longer than usual. Please don’t be discouraged—your documents will arrive as soon as the AKC completes their processing.
